By accessing our website or subscribing to Austin Pet Post, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use our service. We reserve the right to update these terms at any time; your continued use of the service following any changes constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
Austin Pet Post is a monthly subscription service that mails members a curated envelope containing two postcards featuring real adoptable animals from local Austin-area shelters (one cat, one dog), plus one or more surprise goodies such as stickers, art prints, or bookmarks. Each month we partner with a featured shelter and donate 50% of net monthly profit to that shelter.
The specific animals, shelter partner, and goodies included in each mailing are selected at our sole discretion and may vary from month to month. We do not guarantee the inclusion of any specific animal, breed, or item.
Austin Pet Post offers the following subscription plans:
Subscriptions begin on the date of your initial payment and automatically renew at the end of each billing period unless cancelled. By subscribing, you authorize us (through our payment processor, Shopify) to charge your payment method on a recurring basis at the applicable rate.
Prices are listed in U.S. dollars. We reserve the right to change subscription pricing at any time; we will provide at least 30 days' notice before any price change takes effect for existing subscribers.
You may cancel your subscription at any time through your account portal or by contacting us at hello@austinpetpost.com. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period; you will continue to receive mailings and have access to your subscription through the date already paid for.
We do not offer prorated refunds for partial billing periods.
All sales are final. We do not offer refunds except in the following circumstances:
To request a refund or replacement under these circumstances, contact us within 14 days of your expected ship date with your order information and a description of the issue. We will review each request on a case-by-case basis and may offer a replacement mailing or account credit at our discretion.
We currently ship within the United States only. Mailings are sent once per month via USPS First-Class Mail. Typical delivery is 3 to 7 business days after processing, though we cannot guarantee delivery times as they are subject to carrier conditions.
You are responsible for providing and maintaining an accurate, deliverable mailing address. We are not responsible for mailings lost or delayed due to an incorrect address provided by you. Address changes must be submitted before the monthly processing cutoff date to take effect for the current month's mailing.
Austin Pet Post donates 50% of net monthly profit to the featured shelter partner for that month. "Net monthly profit" means gross subscription revenue for the month less direct costs including postage, materials, payment processing fees, and packaging. Donation amounts will vary month to month based on subscriber count and costs. We will share donation totals publicly when possible.
Your subscription payment is not a tax-deductible charitable contribution; it is payment for a subscription service. The donation is made by Austin Pet Post from our own profits.
All content on this website, including text, graphics, logos, and images, is the property of Austin Pet Post or its content suppliers and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from any content on this site without our express written permission.
Animal photos featured on postcards are used with permission from our shelter partners and remain the property of the respective shelters or photographers.
Our service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted or error-free. We make no representations regarding the adoptability or availability of any specific animal featured in our mailings; adoption decisions and processes are handled entirely by the respective shelters.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Austin Pet Post shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of our service, including but not limited to lost mailings, incorrect addresses, or service interruptions. Our total liability to you for any claim arising from these terms or our service shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the three months preceding the claim.
These Terms of Service are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Texas, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any dispute arising from these terms shall be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Travis County, Texas, and you consent to personal jurisdiction in those courts.
If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.
